Macau is a beautiful city. Part Chinese, part Portuguese. It is located near Hong Kong, so it is usually a part of tourists’ itinerary. To get there from Hong Kong, just hop on a one and a half hour ferry ride and voila! You will find yourself in Macau. There are lots of buses and shuttles at the Macao pier offering free rides to hotels, tourist spots, and the like. So getting lost is not a problem. Here are a few places you can go on your trip to Macau:
Day one:
6:00 AM. Wake up. Shower and get ready for the day.
7:00 AM. Get some breakfast wherever you desire. Don’t forget your essentials when leaving the hotel (i.e your camera, ID, passport, wallet, etc.)
8:00 AM. Go to Hong Kong pier and take a ferry to Macau.
9:30 AM. Upon arrival at the Macau pier, take a shuttle going to your hotel and check in.
10:30 AM. Go food hunting in senado Square and witness the beauty of St. Paul Cathedral’s ruins. Don’t forget to buy pasalubong!
11:30 AM. Get lost in Macao. Walk the streets, immerse yourself in its beauty while it’s still daytime.
12:30 PM. Get some lunch at any place that sells food. Trust me, there are tons of places you can stumble across on your leisurely walk. But if you need some extra details, check this link http://www.eatandtravelwithus.com/2014/02/10-places-to-eat-in-macau/
1:00 PM. Visit Macau’s historical places such as, Monte Fort, Macau Tower, Macau’s many museums, and the like.
3:00 PM. You’re probably getting hungry, so get a bus going to the Galaxy Broadway Resort where there are Michelin recommended street food.
4:00 PM. Macau has a lot of luxury hotels, such as the Venetian, the Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons Macau, Grand Hyatt, Galaxy Macau, Holiday Inn, and many more. There is no doubt that you were fascinated by the beautiful architecture and grandeur they offer so go hotel hopping! Many are within walking distance, so getting there is not a problem.
6:00 PM. Get dinner inside one of the hotels. Holiday Inn is a great recommendation because there is a sort of mall located beneath the hotel. Last time I went there, I had mcDonald’s.
7:00 PM. If you’re old enough, go casino hopping. As i’ve said, many hotels are within walking distance from each other but if you want to go to other hotels that are not within walking distance, you can take a shuttle. Many hotels have shared shuttle service.
9:00 PM. Walk around Macau at night, and witness the beauty emitted from the city. With the lights from hotels, the wind blowing in your face, the people having the time their lives, it truly is full of wonders.
10:00 PM. Go back to the hotel you’re staying at, it’s time to hit the haystack!
Day two:
7:00 AM. Wake up, maybe snooze your alarm for 5 minutes, shower, fix your things, and get ready to leave Macau.
8:00 AM. Get some breakfast.
8:30 AM. Check out of your hotel and take a shuttle or taxi going to the pier.
9:30 AM. Purchase your ticket going back to Hong Kong and silently bid your good bye to the beautiful Macau.
